چکیده

This paper is prepared within a collaboration between the Instituto Politécnico Nacional, which Mexican research institute that manages on sliding-mode control theory, and ARIA team of Intégration du Matériau au Système Lab., French group engages model-based fault diagnosis fault-tolerant theories. The reviews application sliding mode techniques to tolerant provides perspectives leading posing some open problems. Operating principles, definitions basic concepts are recalled along with objectives design procedures. evolution technique through five generations (as classified by Fridman, Moreno co-workers) reviewed. Their respective procedures, limitations, robustness properties also highlighted. controllers discussed. focus problems judged commonly be overlooked. Some applications in real-world systems presented.

Integral sliding mode fault tolerant control schemes with control allocation

Integral Sliding Mode Fault Tolerant Control Schemes with Control Allocation Mirza Tariq Hamayun The key attribute of a Fault Tolerant Control (FTC) system is to maintain overall system stability and acceptable performance in the face of faults and failures within the system. In this thesis new integral sliding mode (ISM) control allocation schemes for FTC are proposed, which have the potential...

Fault Tolerant Sliding Mode Control Design with Piloted Simulator Evaluation

This paper considers sliding mode allocation schemes for fault tolerant control. The schemes allow redistribution of the control signals to the remaining functioning actuators when a fault or failure occurs. The paper analyzes the schemes and determines conditions under which closed–loop stability is retained for a certain class of faults and failures. It is shown that faults and even certain t...

Sliding Mode Fault Tolerant Control with Prescribed Performance

This paper considered state tracking problem of a class of nonlinear systems with actuator failures and unmodeled dynamics. Based on neural network and Nussbaum function, an adaptive neural network-based fault tolerant control scheme is proposed to ensure the tracking performance to satisfy a given prescribed performance. The problem of unmodeled dynamics is handled by introducing a dynamic sig...

Fault Tolerant Control With Re-Configuring Sliding-Mode Schemes

In this paper, a controller design method for linear MIMO systems is presented which a sliding mode controller is reconfigured in case of system faults. Faults are detected with the residual vector generated from a standard linear observer. Once a fault has been detected the fault distribution matrix can be obtained and used to update the corrective or equivalent control parts of the sliding mo...

Fault Tolerant Control for Damaged Aircraft Based on Sliding Mode Control Scheme

In this paper, the problem of structural damage with partial loss vertical tail in aircraft dynamical system is investigated. A linearized aircraft model is introduced firstly, then a damage-tolerant controller based on an adaptive sliding mode control is proposed. Finally, simulations with an aircraft model are conducted to demonstrate the effectiveness and advantages of the proposed design te...
